Overview:

I am Highly motivated, honest, confident and hardworking leader, keep attention to details. I love to work with students and share my love of music and my experience with them. I like to help them to learn music and to grow like musicians. I got music aducation in Ukraine as a classical and opera singer and as a conductor of choir and orchestra. In Ukraine, together with organist Viktor Billa, I had many performances in different concert halls. In my repertoire are music in different languages (about 7) and of different styles. Now I continue to train my voice at private lessons at FSU.

EXPERIENCE

My teching experience started in 1998 as a choir leader. At 1999 I started to teach piano, voice and bandura (National Ukrainian instrument) at Ukrainian music school. Also I was teaching privately a lot. I love to work with beginners and also enjoy to teach high school students to adults. With some students we were learning voice or piano just for fun, some of my students I trained for professional vocal career. A few of my students are winners of regional vocal competitions - first places, some of them had a vocal recitals at concert halls during their studying years. Now I have good time of work with NETkins Alpha Choir and with Youth Choir at Trinity United Methodist Church. With our NETkids Alpha and Omega Choirs we are doing many concert programs and once per year we are doing Church Musical with different songs, characters and costumes.

METHODS USED

First of all I am voice teacher, as I have very good vocal education and experience. But I like very much to teach piano too. I prefer to combine vocal lessons together with piano lessons. It is very good working in both ways - just for fun or for professional development. Your child will be able to sing songs, to play some music and to know music grammar. But also are possible just voice or just piano lessons. For voice lessons - I like to start with a warm-up including breathing exercises, consonants and vowels exercises, posture exercises , vocalises. It takes almost half of lesson, the rest will be dedicated to repertoire. During lesson we will learn music grammar as well. I am open to any repertoire which you are interesting in. Also we can learn songs in different languages too. For piano lesson - I prefer to combine in one lesson learnin of music theory, playng piano repertoire and developing piano technick. Usually I use Alfred's basic piano course (different levels), Faber books and some another repertoire books. Also we can play your favorite works.

LESSON STYLE

Each student is unique and I try to be flexibel to each of them. Every set of warm-ups and each piece of repertoire will be according the needs of the student. At voice lessons we can learn disney songs, church and Christmas music, American folk song, art songs in different languages, opera arias. I can help to be prepared for vocal competitions or for auditions as well. In my lessons I will combine european style of teaching together with american. That will help to have better result. The main purpose of our lessons - to have result! And we will have result for sure if we will have system - lessons should be once per week or twice per week, but it should be certainly. You will decide which kind of result would you like to have:professional, basic knowledge or fun. I encourage my students to perform at local senior living facilities, church and school programs. At the end of each year we are doing small recital for my student in big auditory with grand piano. As a concert singer I have big experience of singing on stage, so I can help my students to have right behavior and feeling during performance.
