I discovered my love of teaching in college when I was required to teach voice lessons as an assignment for my vocal pedagogy class. I was amazed at how fulfilling it was to share my knowledge and love of singing with my students. Since then, I have had the opportunity to teach singers of varying ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. For singing lessons, I teach speech level voice production. We do scales and exercises to support the technical skills, and develop covers or original songs. We explore different styles if desired and can also record songs, which allows us to analyze each tapes and learn through listening to our own performance.
