I will do my best to personalize my teaching style to fit each student so that they can become as successful as possible. I enjoy teaching everyone from the aspiring professional saxophonist to the hobby player and will base my teaching on the goals they have set so that they may achieve them. For my beginner saxophone students we will start by assembling the instrument and using the Hal Leonard's Essential Elements to learn the basic fingerings and songs. As for my beginner piano students we will start off with the Faber Piano Adventures book and work our way through the lessons. For young beginners, I make use the method book that is being used at their school as well as supplying materials specifically for their instrument. As the student progresses, he/she will be introduced to solo repertoire as well advance method books for recital and competitive purposes. The objective is keep the student challenged but at the same time making sure the lessons are enjoyable.
