I started teaching lessons in college. I began teaching lessons 6 years ago, and have always taught in-home lessons. I believe that teaching in the home will help my students be more comfortable practicing at home. I prefer the one on one setting that teaching lessons gives you over the large ensemble setting. I believe it gives more opportunity to grow as a player. My teaching experience spans 6 years. I've taught all ages, so I'm comfortable with everybodys learning pace. In college I studied under the Latin Grammy award winning La Catrina Quartet, and I hope to pass down the knowledge I gain from that experience to my students. I meet with all my students and talk with them about what their goals are before we get started. Once I learn more about the student, I will personalize lesson plans that I believe will be the best fit for that individual student. Everyone learns differently, so I do not use one form of teaching across the board for all my students.
