My teaching experience started 1990 after received certificate from YAMAHA Music Academy in Japan. Encouraging regular practice on a consist schedule is one of key points I like to emphasis for younger students as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. My students are encouraged to enter recitals as well as work on composing their original materials so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn. Read More

I am a passionate and dedicated musician who thrives on sharing my love of music with students and fellow performers. In 2023, I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Music in Performance, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Music in Classical Trumpet at the Manhattan School of Music. I make sure my students learn the scales; which are very important. I also use the Hanon book for exercises when my students begin to advance to a higher level of understanding. I have multiple pieces prepared for my students to play in order for them to be ready to play recitals. Read More

I began teaching 2 years ago during my undergrad years and fell in love with sharing the joy of music and singing. As a young kid, taking lessons myself, I constantly was seeking to learn different types of music and always felt like I could never find the right teacher who could help me expand my musical knowledge in the ways I wanted. Because I have a background in instrumental music, I truly believe in the importance of a foundation in theory, ear training skills, and music reading. Read More

I've actually written and produced my own music theory book that was in all Borders stores before they closed down. I've learned a few methods and I try to incorporate them all unless the student or parents wants something specific. My method is a method where I can teach 1 thing countless ways. I love my students to learn theory because it is a very important backbone to music. Some people can play instruments without ever really kwoing what they are playing or understand the theory behind it, and I think it holds them back from truely being creative and understanding of music.    With my methods students will be able to play from any genre, any book, and hopefully will be able to create their own music.
