Therefore no teaching method is typical, nor is the approach to any given student. Technique, thought process, feel/emotion, pulse/rhythm,ear and theory are all explored to a degree that is comfortably absorbed by the individual. In Carnegie Hall, I collaborated with colleagues to develop goals and experience as we participated in great events and concerts while working next to some of the worlds most esteemed musicians. I have been teaching for over 40 years. In my studio, my focus is on repertoire, however I also cover ear training, theory and composition. I teach all styles of music with a focus on the classical repertoire. The theory, composition and ear training will often coincide with the style of music being studied.
