Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Makeing music from the very beginning is the key ! Even the simple one line practice exercizes i back up with a harmonic chordal accompaniment for a satisfying duet. At the Berklee Day Sessions Summer Program in 2011, I played in and directed ensembles of musicians aged 10-13. I bonded with a guitar player and on the day of the recital, got my first private instruction student for bass guitar.
