Instruments: Guitar, Voice, Bass Guitar, Music, Keyboard, Electric Guitar, Classical Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

I teach harmony, rhythm, technique, melody, and basic sight reading by a two fold approach. First is to really feel into the music. This means learning to listen deeply with curiosity, intention, respect, and joy bringing the meaning of play into every aspect of learning. The second part is to begin with the basics of music theory by grounding fully into the fundamentals. Learning to work in forms that may seem like an alien language at first but when systematically approached with patience, dedication, and a spirit of playfulness and fun will open up and begin to reveal paths into learning and understanding that will greatly increase ones ability to engage in all musical forms. Instruments: Guitar, Voice, Drums, Bass Guitar, Harmonica, Ukulele, Music, Keyboard, Electric Guitar, Classical Guitar

Over the years I've learned that the best way to approach teaching someone an instrument is to help them learn music that they love, as well as presenting concepts about what is happening in the music so that a bit of theory and the mechanics of how it all works gets mixed in with the enjoyment of learning just the technical aspects. Instruments: Voice, Music

For beginning students, I typically start with teaching basic healthy singing techniques, such as vocalizing and healthy posture while singing. This includes instruction of vocal and breathing mechanics. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce repertoire selection guidance, performance coaching, and song interpretation and stylistic traits of a variety of genres. Outside of lessons I typically do ask that you practice a minimum of 5 times per week for 15-20 minutes using practice exercises that we learn in lessons so that you will continue to improve vocal technique.
