Hi! Im Kristen. Im a mezzo soprano. I love performing and teaching others the art of performing. I am passionate about helping singers improve their voices and learn how to love them. I love to prepare them for whatever goals they may have, whether that be singing in a choir, being on Broadway, singing at Church, preparing for college auditions, or just singing in your living room. I have had plenty of experience teaching both privately and in a classroom setting. I began teaching private lessons on the piano and violin in high school, where I mainly had elementary school beginners. In college, I continued to teach private lessons and also had plenty of opportunities to work with students of all different ages and skill levels in a variety of settings. I graduated from The University of North Carolina School of the Arts which is where I went for my high school degree, with a concentration in flute. I went to West Virginia University for my Bachelors in Music Industry. I graduated with my Bachelors of Music from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. I am currently finishing his Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from Lenoir-Rhyne as well. While at Lenoir-Rhyne I was involved in a various amount of ensembles, including the newly reformed Spirit of LR Marching Band where I was the Head Drum Major for three years.
