As a self-taught guitarist, drummer, and harmonica player, I have years of experience both teaching and performing music. After studying classical guitar, voice, and music education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, I graduated from Appalachian State university with a master's in guitar performance in August of 2022. My method is based on the individual singer. I always begin by introducing the fundamentals of singing (posture, breath, etc.) as these are commonly addressed in some way throughout a voice lesson. I begin every lesson with warm up exercises that relate to the music or technique that the student is currently working on. From there, we begin applying those techniques into the music. This gives the student practical applications to the technique they learned or reinforced in the beginning part of the lesson. Read More
