My teaching experience dates back to my freshman year of college in 2013. I began teaching snare drum and drum set to one private student. As time went on through my undergraduate studies, I had a studio of twenty lessons students. Coupled with private lessons, I gained experience teaching high school percussion ensembles and I was a percussion instructor for marching bands. I consider the greatest and most rewarding aspect of teaching to be seeing and hearing a student gain the ability to play an instrument and thereby to become a musician. And I believe the only way to really accomplish this is to meet a student where they're at, become aware of their musical interests and goals, and to be a guiding voice that can help them work towards those goals in a more efficient way than they could on there own. Nothing is more rewarding for me than seeing my students develop a passion for music. I expect my students to have a willingness to learn and an open mind and heart for trying new things, and experimenting with and discovering new sounds. MOST OF ALL! Have fun with this! My teaching experience started In my first job back in 2014, when I was a choir director and music teacher in percussion and music initiation In the Orchestral and Choir system for Children and Teenagers Fundamusical Simón Bolivar known as "El sistema" from Venezuela. Since them, I,ve been constantly teaching public and private lessons to children and teenagers of all ages.
