My curriculum is unique for each individual depending on their goals and age, however I generally start beginners out with Hal Leonard’s Essential Elements for Strings, and a few of my own exercises as needed. After they have become comfortable with the violin I begin them on the Suzuki books or other solo repertoire. My experience takes me straight out of high school. I have been a drum tech at West Johnston High School since Fall of 2015. Since then I've risen in the ranks and have taken a much bigger role. In between all of that, I've all taught at Wake Christian Academy as Percussion director for about a year. I am a motivated musician, with a passion for performing and a desire to pass on that passion and a love of music to students of all ages. I am a graduate of Norfolk State University, where I received a Bachelors of Music degree in Music Media with a minor in Piano. My program combined classical saxophone training with, contemporary performance, and modern media outlets. During college I was a member and section leader of the University Marching band, as well as, the principle alto saxophonist (a.k.a. first chair) for both the symphonic band and jazz ensemble.
