I am a passionate and motivated instructor and music performer and  I am confident that my academic background and performance experience would be successfully utilized in this teaching position. I have a Masters of Music degree in Vocal Performance from The Royal Danish Academy of Music and a Bachelors of Music from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University. I began my vocal private studio while working on my Masters degree in Copenhagen in 2007. As a performer I have had the opportunity to work with companies such as Opera Naples, Gulfshore Opera, Miami Lyric Opera, Sobe Arts, Miami International Piano Festival, Orchestra Miami, Symphony of the Americas, Miami Symphony Orchestra, Emerald City Opera, Miami Opera Institute, Florida Chamber Orchestra, Russian Opera Workshop, Danish Radio Choir and Orchestra, Royal Danish Academy Choir and Orchestra and the Amager Music Festival to name a few.        Read More

Since the age of 9, I've been learning and performing with a guitar. First it was recitals among my fellow peers at my local Music school. After gaining enough proficiency, I started playing in a multitude of bands as a teenager, playing various local venues around South Florida. My love of music comes from the personal fulfillment attained when creating original compositions. Learning to play songs that are enjoyable is great, but the best part of music comes from the ability to be able to invent and create something new. Read More

I have been actively teaching for the past 10 years. I have worked with students of all levels and ages, from beginners to college student level of multiple nationalities. I have taught at the prep departments of Lynn University, Palm Beach Atlantic University and North Broward Prep School. Music in the school system is taught backwards. If you're a beginner, you were put in a beginning class. this makes it very difficult for students to advance quickly because they aren't playing music with people who are more advanced than them. I make sure the students have the ability to play the instrument before they learn a ton of theory, because knowing how the wrritten form of music work without being able to play them is recipe for frustration. Although I have experience teaching both private, one-on-one lessons and group lessons in a classroom setting, I find that one-on-one lessons is the best way to learn. This allows students to go at their own pace and not have to feel rushed. Not to mention, it's way more enjoyable to learn when you have a patient teacher giving you support and motivation. I don't like to rush students because after all, most students just want to learn for fun. Read More
