I have been playing piano for 20 years, providing private lessons for 6 years and teaching music in the classroom for 3 years. I have been performing for the past 10 years.
I started taking lessons when I was 5, was accepted into and attended a brand new middle school of the arts for my 6th-8th grade years, and was accepted into and attended an award winning, Grammy nominated high school of the arts. After graduation of high school, I went on to study music in college. Now I teach and accompany instrumental students for competitions.
I use a very easy to read and understand series of books for my beginners: Bastien Piano Basics Piano, Performance, Technic, and Theory Books. Once students matriculate through these books (series 1 and 2), I switch to John Thompson's books.
My only expectation is that my students try. If they are showing a geniuine effort to learn, both the student and I will enjoy the lesson. I tailor my lessons to that specific student.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
OkAre you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
