I am an enthusiastic drummer of 10 years who has recently learned how to play the guitar, bass, piano, and how to sing. I have played both drum set and percussion in a variety of formats including: wind ensemble, jazz band, African drumming ensemble, marching band, and in my personal rock band. I enjoy playing and recording music on my own and collaboratively. I have played out with my rock band at various venues in Massachusetts including The Palladium and The All Asia. Read More

I have been on stage from the age of 3 and have spent my life learning more and more about music. I participated in a musical every year in high school and even won 1st and 2nd division awards at our Solo and Ensemble Festival. From there I went to a community college to gain some life experience. While there I was part of a paid show choir that acted as an ambassador for the college. Read More

ive began teaching three years ago to my little cousins. after a couple weeks their abilities improved significantly. my aunt, impressed at their progress, refered me to some of her friends, and i began teaching adults as well as children. when a student is learning, i like to focus on exactly what is interesting to them, and show themthe concept to the point of understanding. if the student isnt having fun, then nobody wins! i really enjoy seeing mystudents compose their own original songs and eventually gain the confidence to perform. im always looking for any students who wish to better their understanding of music regardless of ability or age. I focus on the individual more than anything else. I tailor my teaching style to each student. When something clicks for them, I stick with it and adapt to keep the student engaged, interested, and passionate about music. If I find a student is not fond of a certain book or solo, we change course together. Sharing my passion for music is very important to me, and being able to do so with students is incredibly rewarding to both parties. I always go at whatever pace the student is comfortable with to keep their success rates high. Read More

I want the lessons to be a fun and exciting process. I love working with ages 11-85 and try to accommodate and feel how their singing becomes more and more joyful. Singing scales, breathing at times against a wall, moving arms and singing with joy, all help students enjoy and create the sound and rhythms they are comfortable with. I always encourage students to believe in their talents and choose repertoire they love! Read More

I am a firm believer in not re-inventing the wheel. I don't use my own lesson plans. I meet with students to see what they know and what they want to learn, and then use books, YouTube videos or tutorials to teach - learn with- students. A typical curriculum for me first learning the chromatic scale, then the major two octave scale. Then the minor two octave scale, then basic major and minor chords. Read More
