I am a motivated instructor who wants to bring the joy of music to my students. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Performance. I have had some fantastic journeys so far as a musician performing all over the world since when I was young, and performing at Boston Symphony Hall was definitely the most memorable experience. Most importantly it is a place where students can learn more about themselves, life, and what kind of musicians/artist that they would like to become. The students, parents, and I set goal based on each individual student's musical interest and needs. Every artist is on their own journey. For older and/or more advanced students, I like to create a balance of tone warm ups, scale work, etudes, and musical rep. I encourage students to bring pieces they are interested in learning into their lessons. If a student is also interested in non-classical music (e.g. Disney tunes, Celtic music, pop, jazz, etc.), I find music in those genres at their playing level for them to enjoy. Though I do have a consistent method for teaching, I first like to see what a student's level of playing and understanding of music is before we move forward so I can see where the student needs improvement. I wouldnt be here today if it werent for my drum teachers passion and love for music, which I am forever grateful for.
