Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. The most important thing for students is to let them progress at their own pace. I set realistic goals. I also make my instruction engaging so the student stays interested. I keep my students engaged by finding out what inspires him or her. If the student is engaged, they are more likely to continue. Positive reinforcement and constructive feedback are of utmost importance to me when instructing my students. I will always demonstrate rather than simply describe what is needed. I encourage students to practice about 30 minutes each day between lessons (and yes, singing in the car or shower counts!).
