I graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2005 where I studied music education with an emphasis on trombone. I always ask what the student wants to learn such as style, a song, etc. I also accompany them playing the piano or guitar once they have learned the basic techniques, etc. This also helps them working with other musicians or singers.
