As long as I have been playing ive been teaching. I actually surpassed my music teachers in elementary middle and high school and taught myself much of what I know through materials available to me at the school. I taught my recorder teacher how read and play the alto recorder and read bass clef.  From then I had multiple teaching opportunities such as youth groups, adult worship bands and private lessons. I tell anybody who is serious about learning music and instruments that time put in is a key component of succeeding while having fun at the same time. My goal is to teach according to my students needs, everybody is unique and learns in their own way. I teach people of all ages and look forward to exploring the music word with you. 

My methods of teaching are based on where the students are at in there study of music. For beginners I like to teach them how to read music as they learn each note on their instruments. After that it really depends on what kind of music you want to learn, what you already know. I like to work with everyone according to their level and ability but also challenge to meet new goals. I know everybody learn differently and at a different pace. There is more than one way to teach so I will work to help you find the learning style that works best for you.
