Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I usually start all of my piano students from the Alfred series. Those that are more advanced will complete the curriculum quicker.. Alfred seems to offer a more detailed instruction technique. It offers step by step instructions. The student can almost teach himself. For guitar I use the Everyday guitar method. This method introduces each string at a time. My thirty years piano teaching experience began in Eagle Pass , Texas when my own piano teacher encouraged me to begin teaching my own students. I actually began my teaching experience by helping out my piano teacher's students' with their piano practice. By that time I had performed in piano recitals , played in the National Guild of Piano Teacher Auditions, and attended piano workshops with my piano teacher. Students need to have a passion for learning music, therefore I try to create a fun, patient environment in order for children to learn. I believe in setting goals and acknowledging when an accomplishment is made to reinforce the desire to learn.
