I've been teaching piano for over 10 years, teaching both privately and in group classes. I've taught students from 7 1/2 to 75. My passion for teaching has extended into my graduate studies, where I focused on piano pedagogy. In addition, I've spent the last 5 years working in a University Teaching Center, working with faculty members and graduate students on how to improve their classroom teaching! My teaching experience involves both in the school classroom setting and outside in the private studio. I was given the opportunity to work as a vocal consultant at the middle school level in 2016 and coached the students one-on-one on their region competition pieces. The following year, I taught private voice lessons of which most were beginning students. My students came from zero knowledge to obtaining the ability to sing and sight-read, an understanding of the music theory, and could now say "I can sing"! Read More
