In 2016, I relocated to Valdosta, GA, where I stayed for four years as a Visiting Assistant Professor and then as an Assistant Professor of Music. I relocated in 2020 for family reasons to the Orlando area, where I teach part time at Valencia College. The methods that I normally use are the Alfred Basic Piano Library, and the Faber and Faber Piano Adventures. I also use technique books such as Fingerpower, Hanon, and Czerny. I always incorporate Music Theory in my lessons as well as improvisation. i am familiar with the Royal Conservatory of Music technical requirements and find them necessary to any student wanting to become proficient at piano/keyboard playing. I use may online worksheets for theory, improvisation and fun repertoire as well. i am open to the needs of the student but also have a structured method of teaching so that all aspects of the music learning process is followed. In voice lessons, I start with the Bel Cantor style of teaching and once the fundamentals of singing have been achieved, its time to learn how to break the rules and maintain a healthy singing voice. In teaching piano, I use the book Alfred Adult for my beginning students.
