In conjunction with this series,I will supplement with other pieces that I feel will inspire and challenge them. if the student requests a certain piece or style of piece they would like to work on, I definitely make sure to grant it to them. My classical strings students will all be started in the Essential Elements book 1. Upon completion of said book, all strings students will then move to the Suzuki books to step from beginner to intermediate strings player. Also-when I teach the beginning student-it is great to see how that student develops his/her playing over the days/weeks/months. It is good to have constant attention of the teacher because of learning to play the pieces in correct way is very important.
