My methods are unique and created to fit the individual musician, because we all learn differently! For beginners, I incorporate elements of Orff and Kodaly. For the young beginner musician, I like to use games to hone in and sharpen aural comprehension. For intermediate and advanced pianists, my go-to piano repertoire comes from Nancys and Randall Fabers Piano Adventures. For vocalists or music theory students, I use tools straight from my collegiate, educational repertoire. Read More

I have been a musician all my life. I started my college career looking to teach students about music. My life goal is to teach students about what I have learned, that constant practice and passion are keys to success. I encourage students to practice, and to learn about their instrument outside their lessons as well. Students who learn outside of lessons build a deeper connection to the music, and their instrument. Read More

I've played piano since I was six and have loved music for many years. My wish is to spread such love for music and hopefully inspire my students in the future. I will graduate with a Bachelors of Music from the College-Conservatory of Music in the University of Cincinnati in December. I've had many performance opportunities from accompanying choirs of all ages, to singing in mixed ensembles for my peers, to singing in ensembles for nursing homes. Read More

With all my students I try to develop the ability to play from memory and off the top of their head. I always include what the student might be musically interested in as well. Depending on their level I will use different books along the way. For beginners I may use Rubank to get some scales under their fingers and perhaps a songbook but for others who are more advanced I may use Sigurd Rascher Top Tones to develop altissimo register, or a rhythm book like Rhythms Complete to develop sight reading. My teaching style really focuses around developing a love for your instrument. If the student loves their instrument and the music that is written for their instrument, they will feel encouraged to practice. I try to pick up on the student's personality and learning styles and make each person's lesson a combination of my teaching styles and what works best for the student. Once we find the routine and groove that works for the both the student and myself, then the learning should come along easily and fun. Read More
