I earned my Masters of Fine Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of California, Irvine at the Claire Trevor School of the Arts where I sang the National Anthem for President Barack Obama at the school’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. At 18, I was hired by Wurlitzer to teach piano lessons to children in their homes where a piano had been rented. If the family bought the piano at the end of the term, I received a commission. After teaching many piano lessons I also sold two pianos. At NYU, I joined a dance company that performed lively dances at elementary schools, where they had me singing a call and response song with our young audiences. Read More
