I had played in numerous ensembles including: Cambamberos Colombian music ensemble (Brazil),Orquestra de Berimbaus Paraguassu (Brazil), Tambora female South American music (Brazil), Trio Acstico de las Americas (Brazil), Chacombo Afro-peruvian ensemble (LA), CalArts Salsa Band (LA). Generally, I will ask a student if there is a song they really like. If so, we will learn the song by ear, or by sheet music for those interested, and break down all of its pieces. Depending on previous experience, voice lessons tend to begin with foundations of breathing and relaxing the muscles of the jaw and throat. From there, repertoire is developed based on the long term goals and needs of the student. I graduated from the University of Southern California twice, earning both my masters and bachelors degrees from the Thornton School of Music in vocal performance.
