If there is something a student is having difficulty with, I look at various ways in which we can work to improve the situation. I like to keep lessons fun and engaging but am also very passionate and serious about singing, so my style is a healthy mix between the two. I lead some group lessons at "Group Expression" in Shanghai; working with non native English speakers. The skills learned as an English teacher have helped immensily with communicating with students on how to better approach their singing.
