The teaching experience I have, started at the university, with some colleagues that wished to learn to sing better or to just for Hobbie. For the past 5 years I have helped many singers, professional and young students in different styles of music, in classical, pop and mariachi. As a social service for my university I gave lessons to kids, and conducted choral pieces with senior students and adults. My personal style of teaching come from more than 20 years of experience on it. I will taylor a different plain of study for each student, from absolute beginners to the Advanced level. For early childhood i will use the Orff Shulwerk model of musical education , very funny and easy to learn. We will start to write together our own music after the first lesson! . I really desire the child to enjoy lessons. I like to build their confidence that they are achieving. I'm strict in how I teach the language of music. I don't half way teach and desire my students to be able to sight read music and understand timing. If i have a student that doesn't understand I explain in in math and they have all understood how important timing is. I have been singing in choirs since I was in the sixth grade. My high school and college choirs, under the direction of Robert Istad and John Tebay, have given me the opportunities to sing for performances at the Hollywood Bowl, Greek Theater, Staples Center, Nokia Theater, and the Honda Center. I have had the privilege to perform with a variety of artists such as Andrea Boccelli, Beck, John Williams, Grizzly Bear, and Eric Whitacre, as well as perform with the LA Philharmonic and the Pacific Symphony.
