I graduated with my Bacholers in Music and Pyschology with a focus on opera voice in 2009. In my performance program I really grew as a vocalist and learned how to overcome my own obstacles and improve my vocal technique for myself. I feel confident now in sharing my experience and my education with my students so they are able to really grow and improve as well. Additionally, I have been a voice teacher for 8 years in total, with students rising to high levels of success in state, university/college, and regional singing competitions. I do this because it allows the student to take to fundamentals and gives them the tools to get creative with the knowledge that they already have. I then ask them to perform anything of their choice to assess their ability level (if applicable). After that, I tell them what immediately needs to be addressed and how this will work with their longterm goal.
