I graduated from Northwestern University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and University of Southampton in the UK in 2010 with a Master of Music, Vocal Performance. I have performed throughout Europe and the US in many capacities, and in addition to my training in classical voice and musical theatre, I'm also an accomplished recording artist. I listen to students' thoughts and observations, and address their issues and concerns specifically; as well as coming in with my own plan for what can be improved and how to go about achieving the students' goals and what needs to occur for improvement in my professional opinion. I encourage students to learn and work on music they are passionate about. I expect students to practice regularly to the best of their ability. I am patient and tailor each lesson to the student’s skill and comprehension level. I work with students to help them establish good practicing habits. My musicial experience started at the age of 7. This was the  beginning of my formal classical piano training.  In high school I stated learning more about the fundamental concepts of Jazz. While attending Cal State for three years I quickly developed and focused on arrangment and composition for all types of music. I have over 15 years experience teaching private lessons at students home as well as at my studio.  I truly believe in all my students and try my hardest to encourage, promote, and evaluate weekly progress.  At the end of the day each student can say I did my best because I practiced and accomplished my goal for set for me this week while having fun learning.
