I teach both the Classical and Suzuki methods. I have students of all ages so it varies which student is learning which method. The best for children is the Suzuki method that is widely used in the USA. Classical methods can be used when I teach young adults and adults. It is pretty flexible though and I sometimes teach younger children the classical method. I like challenges and I often have children and older students that express different tempers. Read More

I want to see students have "Aha!" moments. When students feel happy and successful, I in turn feel the same way. My teaching philosophy is that learning is both fun and challenging. I want my students to enjoy learning. Students often comment that I'm funny, respectful, and patient. They think this is important because laughter relaxes instruction a bit, respect should go both ways between instructors/students, and a patient teacher reduces student frustration when they mess up. I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2019, I graduated from Cornell College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance and Kinesiology Exercise-Science. Performing in different states and islands has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play on the same stage as Chaka Khan, learning from instructors Itzhak Perlman and the Catalyst Quartet. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing that musical spark ingnited in a student. Every student has different interests and different learning styles. Therefore, I make it my number one priority to accomodate the student's learning needs. Each lesson, we will set small attainable goals that can be achieved each week in order to help fuel a student's desire to progress and continue practicing. Read More

I started playing violin at the age of nine through my elementary schools string program. In addition to performing with the Discovery Middle School and Timber Creek High School orchestras, I participated every year in the all-county and all-state orchestras and served as associate concertmaster of the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra. I completed a double major in general music and engineering at Northwestern University in Chicago. I have professional performance experience playing violin in orchestras, as a pit musician for musical theater and for freelance gigs such as weddings. Read More

My love of music grew as a child having a family supportive of music education. I see the participation in playing musical instruments as much of a fun activity as it is a physical and mental workout. After receiving my Associate in Science in Music I went straight into a studio and started teaching a range of students from 4 - 24 years old, and from the never-picked-up-an-instrument-before to I-can't-wait-for-the-competition levels. Teaching gives me joy because I am using my greatest talent and asset to strengthen the hearts and minds of people, young and old. Read More
