Instruments: Piano
I have been teaching piano since High School and have learned a lot since then; both in my personal studies and from my many students. Each student teaches me a new perspective on music and piano, inspiring me to further refine my craft as a teacher and player. My goal is not to make professional musicians out of my students, but rather to give them a skill they can carry and enjoy in a healthy way for the rest of their life. Read More
Instruments: Piano
My goal is to develop and motivate my students. I keep a file on every student to monitor their progress. I plan on their future far in advance with repertoire that expands their knowledge of music. Choosing the right repertoire depends on how much they love the piece and if they are ready to handle the challenges. By learning challenging repertoire one can see that other pieces are easier to play. Read More

For piano I prefer Faber Piano Adventures and have different books I would recommend starting with depending on the students age and experience. For guitar and ukulele I prefer using the Hal Leonard method books. I often supplement these method books with outside sources and pieces as is appropriate for the student. For singing students, I have a wide variety of books and resources depending on the musical style. I come from a classical voice background, so when students are middle school age and older (sometimes earlier) we begin learning Italian Art songs in addition to musical theater pieces and English folk songs. Instruments: Piano Voice
I started teaching private piano lessons while getting my masters in piano. I have over 25 years of experience and can adapt my teaching style according to the needs of the students. I have worked with students with IEPs in school, retired individuals who just want to enjoy making music, and very young beginners. Sme of my students have continued their musical studies and have been accepted in music colleges. Even if they eventually switch to a different musical instrument, the knowledge and experience gained in piano lessons cannot be measured because all aspects eventually make further learning much easier. Instruments: Piano Flute Recorder Piccolo
I enjoy teaching students at all ages and abilities and encourage a passion for music. Above all else, I want to help students achieve the musical goals they are trying to reach and play the pieces they want to play. This will make the lesson entertaining and fulfilling for the student while working to succeed with the learning goals I want to reach with them. I strongly believe that with patience and determination, any student can become the musician they want to be. Read More
Instruments: Piano Violin Cello Viola
I Have developed a fundamentals packet for the stringed instruments (Violin, Viola, Cello) which can be utilized by beginners and advanced students alike. Suzuki is the primary method book I utilize as it attacks many of the difficulties beginners face head on in early editions and it offers a rather streamlined process to position work. The Suzuki books also come with piano accompaniment books to help prepare students for solo and even chamber playing as collaborating with other musicians is a vital step in their professional development.
