I believe in a positive perspective on practicing: regular practice will greatly enhance a student's progress with lessons. Focusing on, and isolating, challenges, rather than practicing what has already been acquired, will help the student gain proficiency and fluency in his or her musical ability. Music is, in a sense, both a fine art, and a discipline. For that reason I teach both interpretation and technic. Musical challenges can, at times, be met by technical considerations; and technical challenges can be met by musical considerations. Read More

I believe that every child can learn to play an instrument. Providing the right environment, a good comunication and engament wtih the student is fundamental in order to give the student the chance to express himself/herself through music, feel confident and proud of his/her achievement. Nothing is more gratifying than seeing my students to feel good with themlseves while making music and making progress. My goal is to be a resource for them but also teach them to become auto sufficient for their future. Read More

My goal is to teach you how to be your own teacher. I want to make practicing still feel a lesson because you have listened, learned, and retained what you need to make you a better player. To do this I adopt a more holistic approach. When I am your teacher you are NOT going to be playing through the piece then I give you some arbitrary feedback and grade only to play it again until the lesson is over. Read More

While I am new to teaching, I am hoping to create a comfortable environment where students do not feel rushed to complete pieces or practices, and we will always move at the students pace. If a student is not yet ready to move on to the next piece, then we will continue polishing whatever they need before moving on. I will always keep a log of what the student is currently working on, and what they should work on between lessons so we can always make sure things get done, and can move on to new things. Read More
