Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I began teaching students in college. While I was there I taught seven students all at once. I take pride in providing specific and tailored teaching to each of my students. While student teaching in Frisco I attended many workshops and had many conversations with experienced teachers about how to improve my teaching. If the student has never read sheet music, we will first do worksheets to learn how to read bass clef. If the student has taken another instrument, such as piano, there are some transferrable skills that will allow us to go through this process much faster. As we learn to read bass clef, we will explore the instrument, learn where notes are, and begin making sounds. I use a combination of Suzuki and Essential Elements Technique for exercises and beginner pieces. Read More

For students of ages 13-18, it is essential to understand the student's experience level and where they are musically and otherwise. I will adjust my style to the needs of the student, if their interest is purely personal enjoyment up to college audition requirements. I encourage students of this age range to perform at recitals, as it builds their confidence level as performers and presenters. Music theory and aural skills are of the utmost importance to me, and I look to enforce them in every aspect of music studies. I strongly believe in adapting curriculum to what works best for each individual student. I understand that each student is unique; therefore, their studies should be specialized for their interests and goals. For younger students (ages three to six), I focus on rhythm, coordination, motor skills, and exposure to classical music in fun and unique ways. Read More
