Instruments: Violin, Cello, Viola

For beginning students,on violin, viola and cello, I work with the Essential Elements and Suzuki books (depending on the student). They offer a lot of practical information, as well as beginning music theory for all string students. For my beginning violin and viola students, I only work with them through Essential Elements book 3. At that time, I would refer them to a teacher who's primary instrument is violin. With my cello students, all levels are welcome. Read More

Instruments: Piano, Voice, Cello, Bass Guitar, Keyboard

Music has always been my passion. I try to make every lesson fun and cater the music my students learn to their taste, because I have noticed that they learn more quickly and have fun doing so when it is music they enjoy. Instruments: Cello

I am funatic, a fun teacher who is fanatic about there instrument. The cello is the middle child between the bass and the violin and a lot like the middle child stereotypes I also think the cello doesn't get enough respect. The winning formula for me is respect for your teachers and respect for the instrument once I had that practice didn't feel like practice it felt like progress and I did all the way until I reached my goal of playing Carnegie Hall. Instruments: Piano, Cello, Music, Keyboard

I started teaching when I was an undergrad in college. I've taught students of different ages with different personalities. I found it important for myself as a teacher to change my teaching styles according to each student. Using the vocabulary or description that the student understands and give them what they need/want is a better way for them to learn. There's no short cut to success. If you want to learn an instrument, regular practice and lessons are required. Read More

Instruments: Violin, Cello, Viola, Electric Violin, Double Bass, Music

For beginning students, I always start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. I've found this book to be the best at introducing the instrument and reading the music. I may or may not continue teaching out of the books (there's 3), but that depends on the student. By book 2 or 3 I usually begin introducing Suzuki, as there are many solo pieces for them. Suzuki is also great for teaching technique, which is essential to their skill-set. Read More

It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
