As a cellist, it is standard to visit Popper etudes and J.S. Bach's six suites. Mike Block's Contemporary Cello Etudes book has several fun techniques, such as slapping, chopping, and singing while playing, which would be great for intermediate players. Based on that information, I move forward with music notation and performance. For this age group, I believe acknowledging their progress and achievement is critical.
