Graduated from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts
Played in the Houston Youth Symphony for 4 years
I started playing the cello when I was 9 years old and was taught by Lisa Vosdagones. I graduated HSPVA in 2008 and played in the Houston Youth Symphony on the weekends. I played in my University's orchestra, sitting first chair the entire time. I love playing the cello and I hope we can make beautiful memories and sounds together.
I began teaching students in college, primarily volunteer work at a retirement community in the small city where my college was located. I love children, and I enjoy teaching them from the very beginning of their cello journey. I enjoy teaching people of all ages and am willing and excited to work with anyone who loves the cello.
If the student has little to no experience I like to start with scales and teach the basics of the cello. I enjoy teaching with the Suzuki books, but am open to planning out a teaching method that works with my students individually.
I love baroque music but I love all kinds of music and am open to teaching anything.
