Once students have grasped the fundamentals of the instrument through beginner repertoire, we will explore music of increased difficulty according to the student's preference. As a cellist, it is standard to visit Popper etudes and J.S. Bach's six suites. Mike Block's Contemporary Cello Etudes book has several fun techniques, such as slapping, chopping, and singing while playing, which would be great for intermediate players.
