I began teaching students in college. While I was there I taught seven students all at once. I take pride in providing specific and tailored teaching to each of my students. While student teaching in Frisco I attended many workshops and had many conversations with experienced teachers about how to improve my teaching. My fourteen years as a strings teacher has included both private lessons and public school settings. Many of his students have gone on to be involved in regional orchestras, Houston Youth Symphony, and university orchestras. From 2007 through 2010 orchestras under my care have earned consistent First Division ratings at UIL competitions, including “Sweepstakes” honors in 2008. I started taking cello lessons over the summer before 6th grade, and played in the ensemble at my middle school and high school, continuing lessons throughout. I have also participated in solo and ensemble events through the schools. I have never taught before, as it is only now something I have to start doing, but I am excited to begin teaching others. The extent of my teaching only includes helping other cellists with pieces I may have previously played, and working with a quartet on pieces that I already know. Read More
