I believe in making each lesson personal and fun. I pay close attention to how each student learns best. I start with the basics, building solid technique and gradually introducing more challenging pieces. I love incorporating short theory lessons as my students advance, and with my younger students, I play theory games so they can remember music being made fun! While I use traditional method books, such as Suzuki, I also incorporate pieces my students want to learn. (Example: Disney songs). Read More

During my 15 plus years of teaching violin, I worked in a variety of class settings (public and private school as well as in private offsite lessons), using different teaching styles with a wide range of student levels (beginners to undegraduates) and ages (3 to adult). Through these experiences, I have become very flexible and improvisational in my educational approach, and am open to learn and adjust to new and uncertain work environments, perhaps more easily than most.
