I started taking cello lessons over the summer before 6th grade, and played in the ensemble at my middle school and high school, continuing lessons throughout. I have also participated in solo and ensemble events through the schools. I have never taught before, as it is only now something I have to start doing, but I am excited to begin teaching others. I began teaching music in high school when I worked as an teacher's assistant during group piano classes. I started teaching private cello and piano lessons shortly thereafter and continued to do so through college. After graduation, teaching music truly became my passion. I've worked extensively with private students of all ages. I taught private lessons, group classes, and sectionals to students through several different school orchestra programs. My teaching career started while studying abroad in Guadalajara Mexico, I taught Solfege and helped the chorus out in Hermilo Hernandez institute of music, then went on to teach private lessons to beginner cello students there as well. when I came back to El Paso Tx, I joined the ASTA Group and we helped lower-income students by providing after school classes for no charge.
