I have been providing private and group lessons through the New England Youth Wind Ensembles for over three years. I have experience with online, as well as in-person lessons. I encourage regular practice to all students, as it is important to develop daily and weekly routines. I will assist students with any materials they bring to a lesson, whether it’s repertoire from school or audition materials. Hello! I'm 25 year Berklee College of Music Alumnus with 16 years playing experience! I started studying the saxophone at 9 years old and spent most of my early school years performing in community, school, and local college jazz bands around the Seattle-Tacoma area of Washington State. My music has given me the opportunity to travel the world, and in summer of 2016, I conducted a tour of Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda with my band the AfroXchange in conjunction with music therapy organization Global Youth Groove where I hosted jazz masterclasses, as well as performed at clubs and festivals, and assisted a music therapy team around the countryside. I take the time to get to know the student and which methods would best benefit and keep the spark ignited. For standard piano lessons, Bastien and Faber methods are always a hit with both children and adults. For Saxophone lessons I use the "Standard of Excellence" book that most school bands use. I have also written a lesson book of my own that I use pages from.
