You need a saxophone teacher if you want to learn the saxophone. You do not want a part time saxophone teacher whose focus is on another instrument. My first saxophone teacher was a fantastic musician. He was a great teacher and performer. I used to go to the lessons so excited. I just wanted to listen to his beautiful saxophone sound. I wanted to listen to him talk about music. I wanted to see him play. Without him, my career wouldn't have started. Now it is my turn. I would like to inspire you. I would like to make you look forward to the next lesson. I would like to pass on the joy of music that I have shared with so many people. I have performed with and for people of all ages and different backgrounds in various countries.

I may use conventional method books or materials designed especially for you. Here are some areas I have the emphasis on. Sound; What does your voice sound like? What voice do you like to make through your saxophone? Listening; Listening is the area many teachers and students tend to overlook. However, listening is the essence of music. Repertoire; What tunes do you like to play? I can also suggest or select songs for you within your interest. Reading; Reading skill is very useful when you play with other musicians or you can't memorize a tune. Music notation is not very complicated. I will teach you how to read and write sheet music. Technic; The more technic you have, the more things you can play. Improvisation; Everyone can improvise. Let me help you to fly over music. Time; Steady time, variable time, rhythm Harmony; Why harmony? Even though saxophone is a monophonic (one pitch at a time) instrument, understand, listen, remember and forehear the harmony is also essential to have more fun out of music. Scales; Sounds boring?
