My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 24years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 11years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. In the United States in 2012, I was the winner of the American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music; recipient of the Grand Prize at the Metropolitan International Piano Competition; and the winner of the AFAF Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition. In 2013-2015, Ms. Paniyeva was awarded the E.B. Storrs Piano Scholarship from the Musical Club of Hartford. I was also awarded the Cargill Foundation Prize in the 2014 Scottish International Piano Competition in Glasgow, and became a prizewinner at the Iowa International Piano Competition in 2015. I graduated from Emmanuel College in Boston, MA in 2013 with a Bachelors Degree in Music Cognition, which is the study of how music affects the brain. During my time there I was able to perform with the jazz band on both guitar and piano, study music composition with the head of the Performing Arts Department, and showcase my original music and research. Music is a tool rather than a passion. That is also how I perceived piano playing when I learned piano in China. I have maintained a private studio since early in my undergraduate degree (6 years ago). Graduated with bachelor’s degree of Music from Musashino Academia Musicae and received his Artist Diploma from Toho Gakuen School of Music both in his native country, Japan. He taught the flute at the Yamaha Music Foundation for eight years before he came to study in Boston.
