I have been teaching for two years now. It's been extremely fun to work with my students. 90% of my students so far have been Musical Theater singers. I adapt my teaching to their styles. What I teach for everyone is healthy singing. I have a wealth of pedagogical knowlege, and I know how the voice psyiologically works. His lessons tend to be relaxed and varied. He mixes improvisation exersises with technical studies, music theory, and music history. The emphasis of each lesson is based on the students individual interests and needs. He provides traditional classical piano instruction in sightreading, music theory, music history, and performance practice. He also puts emphasis on improvisation and playing by ear which he believes leads to more dynamic and well-rounded musicianship. My teaching Experience goes back to High school. When I was in High school Our Marching Band had section Leaders. I was the front ensemble section leader. This meant I taught the Front ensemble the show music, Run sectionals to Clean the music, and in 2017 took the highest winning award in the cavalcade of bands history. My approach to teaching is, basically, that playing piano should be enjoyable and fun so I tailor the lessons to the type of music in which the student has interest. I do, however, have a basic structure that includes reading music, finger dexterity and songs at the student's playing level.
