Andrey adheres to the regular way of teaching classical music.
I am a guitarist residing in Orange County who performs in the ambient, folk, and Celtic genres. My influences in these genres are Leo Kottke, Antoine Dufour, Andy McKee, Laurence Juber and others. I have become a distinguished and reputed artist on the West Coast. In February 2010, I performed with Thomas Dolby and string quartet Ethel in opening the TED2010 conference, an annual gathering of paramount figures in technology, entertainment and design. My performance there earned accolades from several attendees, including an invitation to perform at a San Francisco TEDx event in Summer 2010. Way back in the way back machine, I performed on the Kevin and Bean Show on KROQ 106.7 FM
If teaching the 'cello, I like to use the instruction book that I learned from which is Samuel Applebaum's Beginning Strings book and around this I will introduce more international music, often in duet form to help with intonation. After the student develops good basic technique, then sonatas and concerti are gradually introduced. If teaching the piano, then I make sure that Dozen a Day for the beginners is incorporated with any of the beginning/intermediate books such as John Thompson's, Edna Mae Burnam's or Frances Clark's methods and for more advanced piano students the Hanon exercises are included along with the standard Classical repertoire. I like to incorporate 4 hands playing of fun pieces as a diversion from the solo playing plus I encourage my students to accompany me on the piano in a few 'cello pieces so that they acquire a good sense of ensemble playing. I have "musical get-togethers" where everyone plays for their family friends and other students and I will sometimes bring in a professional colleague where we will treat the students to a performance so they can see what happens when one becomes a "pro" - it is my way of saying, "good job everyone"!
I'm a passionate instructor who loves working with students from all levels. However, my specialty lies in teaching advanced piano students. Due to the wide variety of experience in the piano teaching career, I have had the privilege of working with advanced piano students. I have had more than 10 years of teaching piano experience ranging from working with a privately owned Montessori school in Buena Park, CA. to working for a Music School, Brea. I have also taught a wide variety of styles ranging mostly from Pop to Country music. I was a Classically raised pianist myself. I have performed in numerous recitals and sung in a few vocal recitals while studying voice as a second instrument.
As a teacher I take pride in seeing my students grow and develop their own personal connection to music! It is very important to set goals so I encourage students to set their own goals of learning as well as set some lesson oriented goals for them as well. Finding out what interests the student makes my job challenging but fun in the way I can design lessons that will better assist growth!

Music helps develop a well rounded person. As a result of taking lessons, students develop a deeper appreciation of many types of music and the arts in general. Additionally, it has been proven that they also tend to score higher on language, maths, and science tests.
Musika offers an annual performance opportunity for all students through our spring recitals in May and June. Recitals are a great chance for young students to perform for the first time, more experienced students to show their skills, and even for adults to show their love of music! Musika students perform most often on piano and guitar, but we also have many singers, violinists, and even drummers - every instrument and style is welcome.
Musika understands that students want to feel safe before having a teacher come into their home, or before going to a teachers studio. Therefore, Musika hand screens all teachers and performs background checks using Intellicorp, a leading provider of screening solutions.

"My daughter is 10 years old and has been taking piano lessons with Mr. Dale J. for almost 4 years now. She is progressing nicely. His kind and gentle way make for a very positive learning experience. Mr. Dale J. is encouraging without being harsh or belittling. He is patient and the ideal instructor for my daughter."

Bill has been a great teacher for both my 6 yr. old and my 8 yr. old. He is always on time, keeps them engaged, and gives them just enough of a challenge for the next week. They are both beginners, but I am surprised by how much they already know after just a month or so of lessons. Both kids are practicing willingly and look forward to lesson.

I have been playing the drums for about 5 years and I have to say that Alvaro is very patient. He has opened me up to new styles of music and I can now play a Songo groove! What I liked most was that he was flexible in what I wanted him to teach me and would also bring in new material specifically to what I wanted him to show me. Overall, great patient teacher and would highly recommend! Thanks Alvaro!

Dan gave private clarinet lessons to my daughter, Annie, for two years. During that time, she excelled as a member of the middle school band, and maintained first-chair. Dan is an excellent teacher, and Annie looked forward to having one-on-one time with him. In addition to practicing pieces with her, he helped her with scales and greatly improved her tone quality.

Rebecca has been super with my son! He is 8yrs old and has mild aspergers. He has never played an instrument before but after one lesson with his teacher he could keep a beat on his drums. She is able to keep his attention and really makes it fun! She is flexible and easy going. I highly recommend her for any lessons. Very nice teacher! Thank you Rebecca for your outstanding service!!

Mike has been working with my son Robert for over a year and has just started working with my daughter Kate. Mike is both a great musician and a good teacher. He connects with the kids and keeps them engaged. He is able to tailor the lesson to focus on music that is interesting to each child. He also encourages the students to participate in a public setting which is great. I would highly recommend Mike.

My two daughters wanted to study piano fore some time now and just recently I found Musikalessons website and teacher Milica. I can only say that my daughters are very happy with their piano lessons and simply adore Milica. They already made a great progress and we're all happy with what they learned in this short period. Thank you Musikalessons and Milica.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
