I recommend that younger students take advantage of the Activity and Ear Training book that is a part of Alfred's Prep Course. That's why the student and I set goals for the student, whether it's learning a new song, practicing a certain amount of minutes a week, or auditioning for something like a musical or talent show! Setting small goals like these helps the student feel accomplished, and want to continue to work on their new found skills.
