I love to perform and I love to teach! As a performer, I am comfortable in opera, musical theater, recital, and concert settings. I have had the pleasure of performing with organizations like Opera Piccola, San Antonio Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Austin, the Theater Company of Fort Lee, Capitol Opera Richmond, and Classical Revolution RVA. As I mentioned, I believe creativity should be encouraged. I am okay with any pace the student goes at, however I will still hold them to a high standard in terms of effort put in. I try and make each lesson fun and enjoyable, as well as a creative experience that still focuses on theory and fundamentals. I really started teaching in earnest during the summer of 2012 where I took a job in Michigan as a Piano Teacher Camp Counselor. I find that their methods for both kids and adults not only covers the basic fundamentals of music, but they are also able to make everything comprehensive and enjoyable.
