I have been teaching music in public schools for the last 5 years. I graduated from Keene State College in 2013 with a degree in Music Education and a focus on Instrumental Music. In 2016 I went to and graduated from the US Army School of Music as a tenor saxophone player. During my time at the school of music I also played the alto and baritone saxophones. In college I played baritone saxophone as well as a variety of flutes to include alto and bass. Read More

Hello! My name is Cecilia S.. I am a soon-to-be music therapist who has a love for creating individualized music experiences for my students. This year, I will be completing my Bachelor's degree in music therapy and will take my board exam to become a board-certified music therapist! In the meantime, I am enjoying doing music therapy in my internship and teaching music lessons. I have taught students of all ages, but I have a particular interest in early childhood music and adaptive lessons. Read More

I am always continuing to expand my potential as a musician and as a human being. I feel that self-knowledge equates largely to the quality and meaning of music when expressed. Technical abilities are very important of course as they set the limitations of self-expression, though many seem to overlook the deeper purposes and benefits of music. I myself love my craft. From music I gain an intellectual rise through analysis, a creative outlet through improvising and composing, and a great understanding of how my body functions most effectively. Read More
Instruments: Cello
I emphasize ergonomic/body comfort in playing the cello. Comfort is most important before being able to progress and reach technical heights. There is no formula for any single student to make progress. I work with students to discover their goals on the cello, and to help them expand as instrumentalists, musicians and human beings. Musically, I focus heavily on music theory which I will explain as necessary. I place importance on theory because it allows an understanding of musical patterns that can be easily applied on the cello. Read More
Instruments: Piano Guitar
My methods are both technical and not so technical which is the fun part. But you can not have fun until you put in the work (this is very important), and that is my philosophie in a nut shell. You work hard to be able to relax and then have fun. Read More

My teaching experience began with my passion for the guitar. I started teaching a few students early on when I first was learning how to play. I have since then taught students with disabilities and students of all ages. I have around 1 years of experience with teaching. I teach modern, rock, experimental, metal, blues and classical guitar as well as keyboard. I like to make learning fun for children so I let them pick a lot of the material they would like to learn on guitar or piano. Read More
