I have 5 years teaching experience with private drum lessons. Most of my students have been younger and really craved the fundamentals of drumming I have the most experience teaching, which has honed my skills as a teacher to provide the foundation for more intermediate and advanced learning. What I believe makes me a comprehensive teacher is the fact that I myself have never stopped learning new things. No matter what level you are, advancing your skills and that moment of realization that you have while performing certain skills on the drum set you never thought you would get down is an indescribable feeling and I love nothing more than seeing other student drummers go through the same emotions. For beginner students that are younger, age 5 or 6, I will use the Faber primer lesson books. For older children, I like to use either Faber or Schaum Series music books. For adults I use either Faber or Alfred series music books. I purchase the books for the students and ask that the students reimburse me the cost of the books. I also will use various sheet music of favorite songs the student would be interested in. Read More

For my first class with my students, I typically would get to know them in terms of their goals, experience as a singer, and get to know where they are in their pursuit of those goals they set for themselves. After which, I would do warm-up exercises, vowel, and consonant work, and establish fundamentals of vocal techniques for the desired genre.
