I am a passionate performer, student, and teacher who loves to play the trombone and sharing my musical discoveries with all those I come across. I graduated with my Master of Music degree in Trombone Performance from Boston University in 2018. I have had the opportunity to perform all over the United States through my involvement with DCI and as a freelance musician. Playing the clarinet should never feel like a chore, or something that they have to feel stressed and worried about. For piano beginning students who are children I typically start with Alfred Piano Method books and for guitar students will start with Mel Bay Guitar Level I .I work in dual teaching techniques Theory and performance .Student has to be familiar with reading the music notes to be able to play them on the instrument .Once the student has progress to have a grasp of the fundamentals in music theory and performance I will begin preparing them for their recitals and later on competitions . I have also played jazz piano for over ten years. Additionally, I have been playing flute for 12 years. I am currently accepting beginner to intermediate adult piano students. I am very encouraging and enthusiastic but at the same time I am very alert to the details of how the student is performing and progressing. I am very gentle and always try to just suggest a better way if I see a problem rather than criticizing. I believe piano lessons should be an enjoyable experience and dont push for required practice amounts or exercises that are not musical. My teaching has enabled me to work with young musicians of all ages and skill types. The approach I take is technique driven, while at the same time, expressive, musically sensitive, and fun! Voice students will learn English and foreign language diction, ear training and sight-singing, proper posture, stage presence, confidence, and healthy vocal production suitable for all styles of singing. Drum students will learn the importance of snare drum rudiments, how to read drum charts, the nuances of various styles, as well as, develop dexterity and increase muscular function and independence.
